Mission Federal Credit Union

The Credit Union is a leading financial institution serving all of San Diego County. Today more than 140,000 San Diego county residents take advantage of great rates on competitive auto and mortgage loans, credit cards, checking and savings accounts, investment opportunities, insurance products and retirement services. We give back to our local community through a large variety of partnerships with local educational and other nonprofits, philanthropic grant funding from our Community Foundation, and community event sponsorships.

The League is a partner in education with this independent learning facility, which is attended by students who benefit from a non-traditional school environment.

The curriculum is individualized to maximize the ability of each student to reach personal goals and established levels of academic performance.

The chapter provides educational materials for students, incentives to encourage them to reach their goals, helpful items for parents and babies in the pregnant minor program, as well as day care for the babies.


Mission Possible is a program that helps 9th-12th gradestudents explore their interests and consider their post-graduation options.Whether students are looking for jobs or careers, searching for the rightuniversity or trying to find what kind of career they would enjoy, there areMission Possible counselors to help! Mission Possible Staff gives students theassistance and tools to pursue their post-graduation roles.

lions_logoSan Diego Downtown Lions Scholarship Fund

The club's Welfare Foundation has $1,000 scholars available to students graduating Twain for higher education in the undergraduate college or vocational school of their choice.

The Lions seek individuals who have demonstrated, and will continue to demonstrate, a desire to serve their communities. We wish to foster this spirit of community service in the young people who will receive our scholarships. Scholarships based on scholarship merit, financial need and demonstrated community service.

All applicants should submit a typed essay explaining why they deserve this scholarship. The essay should include all activity outside of studies that can be shown to be beneficial to others, including own family members (house helper & job related services), musical, sports, civic groups, church, etc. If you are a student at one of the high schools above, and wish to apply for a scholarship, please see your school counselor for an application.

The university, neighboring Twain campus, has students, faculty and staff volunteering time and expertise, fostering friendships, and working to preserve the region’s unique character. Additionally, the University of San Diego School of Law offers several specialized legal clinics, staffed by law students, that can assist lower income individuals and families.

sdcc_logoSan Diego Community College District

The San Diego Community College District serves approximately 100,000 students each semester through three two-year colleges and six Continuing Education campuses. The college partners with Twain to start students on the path to higher education.
